
Alternative Opportunities, Inc. (A.O., Inc.) was
established in 1991. It operates four divisions
providing comprehensive services designed to eliminate
barriers and to create opportunities for people
to live and work in their community. The divisions
include:
• A.O. Community
Services providing Individualized
Supported Living and Community Integration services
to adults with disabilities and providing community
services to at-risk children and their families.
• A.O. Employment Services providing employment
services to people throughout Missouri.
• Missouri Career
Centers providing Workforce Investment
services to people throughout Missouri (part of
A.O. Employment Services).
• A.O. Transitional
Services providing transitional living
and residential services to youth.
• Carol Jones
Recovery Center for Women providing
substance abuse treatment for women and their
families.
Some services are fully accredited by CARF, the
Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission.
