A.O. Workforce Partnerships administers a variety of programs through
legislation called Workforce Investment Act. This
federal legislation is passed down to the states
and within Missouri to the Division of Workforce
Development.
Workforce Development then works with local Workforce
Investment Regions. There are 14 regions within
the State of Missouri. Each region then has the
opportunity to contract with local service providers
to administer these services. Services most typically
contracted are: Adult Programs, Dislocated Worker
Programs, Career Assistance Programs and Youth
Programs.
All of these programs are designed to assist qualifying
customers with education, training and employment
opportunities. There are many standards and goals
established with each service and it is the desire
of A.O./A.O. Employment Services to maintain
the highest quality of services for each and every
customer we serve.
The Division tabs "Southwest, Ozark, Southeast
and JMG" describes services and programs
that A.O./A.O. Employment Services administers
within the designated regions.
