Description: The Carol Jones Recovery Center Substance Abuse Technician’s job is to provide a safe environment for persons served in the residential and/or social setting. The Substance Abuse Technician will advocate for persons served, complete Urinalysis Tests, and provide supervision to all residents regardless of their rehabilitation status. Additional essential duties include supervising and facilitating structured group activities, documenting interactions with persons served and sharing feedback with treatment team members, mediating disagreements between persons served, answering and directing phones calls, and assisting in medical triage.

Position: Child Care Assistant

Description: The Child Care Assistant will provide supervision of children enrolled in the child care program, including interactive play, structured activity implementation, and completion of child development summaries. Essential duties include facilitating lessons plans as instructed by the Director, ensuring classroom structure, providing age-appropriate behavior modification, sharing feedback on children's daily activities with staff and mothers, and completing daily cleaning schedule.

Position: MANAGER - AO ES SERVICES

Description: The Manager is responsible for the overall management of program areas and/or geographic regions of service. She/he will function as a member of the A.O. Management Team and participate in providing management support in their designated service delivery area. She/he will work with the Regional Director, Statewide Director, as well as the Chief Administrator in planning services. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Develop and coordinate the general operations of respective employment services, and personnel services where provided, in the designated service area. Provide direct services to consumers in any capacity needed, including carrying a caseload of persons served as designated. Identify staffing pattern needs, making recommendations for filling open positions. Post job openings, screen applicants and hire staff as directed. Oversee the intake of referrals and make appropriate staff assignments. Monitor the quality of services provided for persons served within each program or service by monitoring employees in daily activities and problem solving, and by attending a minimum of one VR staff meeting per staff member per quarter. Complete a monthly file review for each person supervised. Complete on site job coaching visits, monthly. Review written service reports for quality and thoroughness, ensuring substantial services language is used. Maintain regular contact with referral/funding sources to monitor referrals and promote positive relationships. Meet partnering expectations of referral sources, as noted in partnering reviews. Ensure all clients are entered into the database accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain a minimum of 80% placement rate and 70% successful placements (90 days). Monitor all clients continuing in placement beyond 60 days to ensure a formal staff meeting is scheduled to identify ongoing service needs. Demonstrate with a sense of urgency that all services are provided in a timely manner. Ensure appropriate billing documentation is submitted and entered into the database in a timely and accurate manner. Review monthly information to include referrals, placements and customer satisfaction results. Maintain a flow of referrals sufficient to ensure the fiscal viability of the office/region. Maintain a 10% surplus over a minimum of a six month monitoring period. Provide effective leadership and management to staff. Provide timely orientation, initial, and on-going training of employees. Provide supervision and support to employees to influence productivity, the provision of quality services, and the timeliness of services to persons served. Oversee staff payroll and leave requests. Conduct regular performance evaluations of employees supervised, identifying measurable goals and objectives for each employee. Facilitate program and/or departmental meetings ensuring employees are provided all current information on policies, procedures, and have access to current training manuals and informational materials (e.g. job coach manual, job developer manual, information regarding functional limitations, etc.) Monitor job development contacts by reviewing job contact logs and following up with a minimum of one contact per month. Maintain a weekly client list including at a minimum, program begin and end dates, services authorized, staff assigned and comments regarding needed action. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree in human service/business management or related field preferred. Two years experience in a leadership role in providing employment or personnel services may be considered in lieu of degree requirements. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS • Knowledge of the communities served and the funding source(s). • Understanding of disabilities and resultant effects as they relate to independent functioning. • Maintain a positive attitude in the work environment and deals courteously and effectively with associates, persons served and the business community. • Must pass background check including but not limited to driving record and abuse/neglect. • Ability to demonstrate patience and understanding of persons with disabilities. • Must be able to write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively before groups. • Excellent organizational, time management, written, and verbal communication skills. • Awareness of confidentiality, professional ethics and code of conduct. • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. • Ability to solve practical problems. ________________________________
